Day Two of the year 2024 and we can already celebrate some victories:
1.) Harvard President Claudine Gay has handed in her letter of resignation after complaints of plagiarism piled up. Outside investigations into Gay began after she joined two other university presidents in failing to affirm that “calling for the genocide of Jews” violated their respective schools’ codes of conduct during a congressional hearing. The announcement comes just three weeks after the University’s highest governing body announced unanimous support for Claudine Gay. July 2023 marked the beginning of Gay’s presidency; her departure will make hers the shortest presidency in the school’s history. Rather than take responsibility for her actions, Gay has blamed “racial animus” toward her as a black woman. (Remember University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill resigned on December 9th. BTW – Magill is a white woman!)
2.) An email from Catherine Engelbrecht with True the Vote reports a decisive victory, “A federal court in the Northern District of Georgia today affirmed that citizens have the right to lawfully petition their government in support of election integrity without fear of persecution or prosecution.” This was a case that involved Stacy Abrams’ Fair Fight and the legal teams of Marc Elias and Biden’s Department of Justice.
3.) The Biden Administration is so pro-abortion it attempted to distort federal law in order to force emergency room doctors to perform abortions. Today the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals blocked this administration’s misuse of the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, which the court says requires the consideration of both patients – the mother AND the child.
However . . .
This is only the beginning of what will be a very contention year:
1.) The legal attacks against former President Donald Trump continue.
2.) President Trump has been thrown off the ballot by an unelected Secretary of State in Maine and other blue states may consider that step. Their strategy is to use the 14th Amendment, saying he engaged in “insurrection” on January 6, 2021. Whatever happened to: Innocent until proven guilty?
3.) There are still too many questions about election integrity. Not enough states have passed laws to ensure every legal vote is counted.
4.) Will Big Tech be allowed to interfere in this year’s presidential election?
5.) What “emergency” will be created to weaken or totally scrap existing election laws?
6.) What role will the World Health Organization (WHO) play? The Biden administration is handing over more and more of America’s healthcare decisions to the WHO. According to the administration we must follow the advice of the WHO during the next pandemic. Is one already being planned??
7.) How will tensions between China and Taiwan play out? Will this administration stand with Taiwan?
8.) How many more taxpayer dollars will be dumped into the bottomless pit called Ukraine?
9.) Will Israel be able to destroy Hamas?
10.) Will the current conflict between Israel and Hamas engulf the entire Middle East?
11.) Will sanity return to the medical field where doctors will stand up and say ‘NO’ to so-called “gender-affirming care” which mutilates children and teens in a failed attempt to change their biological sex?
12.) Will the stop of illegal crossing our border be stopped or, at a minimum, slowed?
13.) Will the truth about ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine finally come out?
14.) Will the mainstream media talk about the number of deaths from the COVID shot?
I don’t have the answer to any of the above questions; neither does anyone else at this point. So, even though we don’t know the answers, it will be an exciting and interesting next 363 days! Above all, it will require our discernment, our vigilance and our reliance upon God.
